The DEEP Due Diligence Investors group is less operated by 1 person, and more simply led by Marc Halpern. The reality is we are a community, we have various experts on niche areas, volunteers who help oversee due diligence and the online forum, and many members who get heavily involved I helping oversee one aspect or another of the community. Marc Halpern
CEO & Co-Founder

Marc Halpern is a private investor whose primary occupation is breakthrough catalysis R&D. Marc diversifies his passive private placement portfolio by investing in multiple projects in multiple sectors with multiple syndicators, fund managers and project sponsors. Marc’s current “alternative” investments are in the areas of apartment syndications, land development lending, agriculture, resorts, student housing, self-storage, notes (performing loans and bridge loans) and private equity deals (pre-IPO) in the chemical industry. A key factor in Marc’s high performance is performing DEEP due diligence on every opportunity and its managers/operators. Marc specializes in investing self-directed Roth 401(k) funds for very strong tax-free growth and income.

Rob Skalski
Club Manager

Rob Skalski is retired from a career as a Senior Financial Advisor and Business Development Executive from The Vanguard Group. As a Certified Financial Planner®, Rob specialized in investment management in public securities, risk management through asset allocation, and tax and estate planning. After retiring from Vanguard in 2023, Rob met Marc Halpern and expanded his investment portfolio to include Private Placement and Alternative investments. Rob has been the volunteer Manager of the Deep Due Diligence Investors Club since its inception. Rob’s passion is to explore a variety of public and private asset classes and prefers income-oriented investments; “Show me the Money!”

Rob lives at the beach in southern New Jersey, and when he and his wife are not travelling to spend time with their adult children in Pennsylvania, Texas, and Minnesota, they are operating their small residential house-flipping hobby. Rob is an avid ice hockey fan, and calls hockey his “primary preoccupation.”

Rob’s motto is “Make friends, make money – in that order.”

Richard C. Wilson
Founding Partner

Richard C. Wilson is a husband, adventure enthusiast, father of 3 girls, and a third generation Eagle Scout. His diverse career spans multiple industries, including a decade at Grand Canyon University, where he played a pivotal role in advancing digital solutions in higher education.

As Chief Technology Officer, Kevin leverages his extensive knowledge to drive innovation, optimize digital experiences, and implement cutting-edge technologies. His expertise in web development and strategic technology planning ensures that businesses stay ahead in an ever-evolving digital landscape. Tabatha East
Investor Concierge

Tabatha East serves as Investment Project Manager and brings with her 17+ years of hospitality expertise from her time at Marriott International. Tabatha helps with operating our team and keeping everyone on top of investment projects, new talent recruitment, and oversees vendor/property management. Tabatha completed her apprenticeship, combined vocational schooling, and practical work application, to Hotel Specialist in Wiesbaden, Germany. She speaks German fluently.
